To help make it more WW friendly, you may want to use Neufchatel instead of cream cheese. I usually don't taste the difference, when it is mixed with other things.
rather than chocolate chips, you should try chocolate jimmies/ sprinkles. It works just like a funfetti cake, but they're all brown like the watermelon seeds :)
I kept seeing the picture of this cake at the top of the page while looking at other cakes. The thick layer of peanut butter frosting in between the layers had me sold! You're a woman after my own heart! lol
This is the worst recipe I have ever tried. The "icing" looked like oily peanut butter. The cake was just completely unacceptable to even put out. I threw the whole thing in the trash
This cake was absolutely delicious!Im thinking the last individual who left comments saying thus cake was horrible and didn't turn out.Obviously did not make it right! My boyfriend who does not bake and my 3 year old made this cake for me for my 30th birthday Everyone enjoyed it.Great recipe can't wait to try the red velvet recipe. Thanks
I made this for my son's 8th birthday this evening and it was delicious!! Very moist. I think if your butter is too soft and melted then the icing will not turn out, but if it is at room temperature along with the cream cheese then it turns out just perfect. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe.
Just made the cake. Yes, like right now.:) I made into a bundt cake, moist and deliciouse, thanks. The icing was a bit thin, which made it difficult to decorate. But I made it work. I marbled the orange an white icing w a spoon . Not beautiful but ok. Hope my guest like creamsicles. Thanks for recipe idea, grat throw back to my childhood.
I am super excited to try this recipe! Do you know how many it makes and if they are weight watcher friendly? Haha
