To help make it more WW friendly, you may want to use Neufchatel instead of cream cheese. I usually don't taste the difference, when it is mixed with other things.
rather than chocolate chips, you should try chocolate jimmies/ sprinkles. It works just like a funfetti cake, but they're all brown like the watermelon seeds :)
I kept seeing the picture of this cake at the top of the page while looking at other cakes. The thick layer of peanut butter frosting in between the layers had me sold! You're a woman after my own heart! lol
This cake was absolutely delicious!Im thinking the last individual who left comments saying thus cake was horrible and didn't turn out.Obviously did not make it right! My boyfriend who does not bake and my 3 year old made this cake for me for my 30th birthday Everyone enjoyed it.Great recipe can't wait to try the red velvet recipe. Thanks
I made this for my son's 8th birthday this evening and it was delicious!! Very moist. I think if your butter is too soft and melted then the icing will not turn out, but if it is at room temperature along with the cream cheese then it turns out just perfect. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe.
Just made the cake. Yes, like right now.:) I made into a bundt cake, moist and deliciouse, thanks. The icing was a bit thin, which made it difficult to decorate. But I made it work. I marbled the orange an white icing w a spoon . Not beautiful but ok. Hope my guest like creamsicles. Thanks for recipe idea, grat throw back to my childhood.
Loved the pumpkin pie cake! I made it for my daughter's Bday Party and blogged it. :o) Thanks so much! Charlie @http://pickledokra.blogspot.com/2013/10/party-time-roundup.html
was looking at your Chocolate Gingerbread cake... Getting ready for Christmas. Was wondering if you have your recipe for the Gingerbread men posted or if you could post it. They are so cute and fluffy ( a lot better than what mine look like)
OMG...this looks so delicious...I will definetly try the recipe.. have a look on my blog too, maybe you`ll find something interesting :) http://makeeasycake.blogspot.ro/
Hi your cakes are amazing :)) I need to ask you I could not found any clue about the blue ruffles cake (it's on the main page banner and 3rd from the left) what is the link about that? Thanx Müge
I actually made the blue ruffle cake before I started my blog! It was posted on my family blog at the time - no tutorial, just some pics. If you want to learn the technique, check out this video.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHYX0qXDVy0&feature=youtu.be
This watermelon cake looks absolutely fabulous! I have been a watermelon freak since I was a kid visiting my great-grandparents' farm, where my sister, my cousins and I would sit in the rows and eat the melons straight off the vine. I really MUST try this cake!
Thank you for this wonderful recipe. I made this for my sons birthday and he loved it. The only problem I think I came across was my frosting was not that fluffy. What should I do if this happens? I tried a bit more milk but it was still sort of thick and not that fluffy. Could it be because I did not have regular milk and used 2%. I am so excited I found this site, there are so many cakes I want to make :) https://instagram.com/p/zzp0ZWoPq5/
I did this cake two days ago, the cake was moist and delicious, only thing i didnt like is the cheesecake in the middle was not creamy. Not much taste, other than that the presentation was beautiful....Thank you for sharing.
For the Cinnamon Banana cake, can I use just egg yolks instead of the whole egg? I love these cakes but I want to make it healthy for my 1 year old's birthday.
I made the Andes Chocolate Mint cake for my daughter's 25th birthday. Followed the recipe exactly and used a cake comb to make my frosting look like yours. It was the best cake I have ever baked and was so gorgeous until everyone got out their phones and made pics before my daughter cut it. Thank you for helping make a milestone birthday even more memorable!
I am super excited to try this recipe! Do you know how many it makes and if they are weight watcher friendly? Haha
